Product Introduction W11cm H7.5cm Brand Introduction In 1983, CHUMS was founded by a river guide named Mike Target. He was a river guide in Colorado, USA, and a true outdoor enthusiast. What always troubled him was that his beloved sunglasses would fall into the Colorado River's rapids and get lost multiple times. He thought about a way to prevent losing or dropping sunglasses, which led to the creation of the glasses strap "CHUMS Original Retainer" that secures sunglasses with a cord. Thus, CHUMS was born. After that, product development progressed with the concept of "fun, high quality, and simplicity," and in the late 1980s, sweatshirts were introduced to Japan. The henley-neck sweatshirt, commonly known as "Hurricane Top," became a representative item that permeated outdoor casual into town use, gaining support from a wide range of people and continuing to be loved to this day.
