Ghibli Collection Special "The Art of Ghibli: Kazuo Oga Exhibition - The Person Who Painted the Forest of Totoro." Kazuo Oga, the art director of works such as "My Neighbor Totoro" and "Only Yesterday," has supported the world of Studio Ghibli for many years, including recent works like "Howl's Moving Castle" and "Tales from Earthsea." He continues to create moving background paintings that support Studio Ghibli's projects. To convey the charm of Kazuo Oga's art, techniques, and warm personality, a work was created featuring animation footage and interviews. The exhibition "Kazuo Oga Exhibition" held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo showcased over 600 background paintings, art boards, and art settings, all compiled into a still image collection. Additionally, a video feature introduces the process of creating a single piece of art, which will delight aspiring artists. The high-quality footage provides fresh surprises for first-time viewers.
