MONOCHROME is a series conceived with the idea of traveling with “just one bag,” embodying the message of creating a bag that blends into any scene and accommodates any purpose.

[Yoshida Kaban], celebrating its 90th anniversary, has consistently maintained the stance that “a bag is a tool.” A bag is a tool for carrying things, and functionality and convenience take precedence over decoration. MONOCHROME was created with the aim of being the pinnacle of practicality.

A MOLLE system inspired by military bags. A three-layer nylon taffeta structure providing water resistance to cope with sudden weather changes like passing showers. A breathable and quick-drying back structure called “Cubic Eye(R)” pique light, which adapts to temperature fluctuations such as when the sun peeks through clouds during a rain shower. A carrying equipment strap allowing smooth adjustment with one hand in a single action. A shoulder pad equipped with a shock absorber that is extremely lightweight and reduces strain on the shoulders.

This design incorporates many details that enhance convenience for moving to various locations and being in diverse scenes and environments with “just one bag.”

MONOCHROME, pursuing the peak of functionality and convenience, blends into places, weather, and the various hobbies, tastes, and personalities of those who live there. It provides a sense of mental lightness, as if saying “I’ll be okay with just this,” and the freedom to think and act easily.

The messenger bag is a [PORTER]-exclusive item that has been upgraded in terms of high functionality through sewing and material selection.

The main storage compartment can be directly accessed from the zipper at the top of the bag, allowing for smooth loading and unloading of items. It is equipped with a cushioned pocket that can accommodate a 16-inch PC and a sling binder for temporarily holding items.

The flap can be opened and closed in two ways: with Velcro and with two joint straps.
