[Tea from Makinohara Plateau] The Makinohara Plateau has long sunshine hours, producing thick and nutrient-rich tea leaves. By steaming these leaves for a long time, the tannin (bitterness) content is reduced, and the amino acid theanine (sweetness) increases, resulting in a mellow tea. The tea leaves become fine, but they feature a beautiful deep green color, mellow sweetness, and rich depth. [Aratakeen's Deep-Steamed Tea] Deep steaming method that utilizes high-quality tea leaves: Aratakeen's tea is made using a deep steaming method that steams the leaves three to four times longer than regular sencha, resulting in "deep-steamed tea." [Commitment to Soil] At Aratakeen, we believe that "delicious tea can only be made from thick, dark green leaves picked from strong tea trees," and we focus on soil preparation for tea cultivation.
