Theme: “Glacier.” Glaciers are believed to have begun forming approximately 150 million years ago during a long period of gradual cooling of the Earth, continuing until around 3 million years ago. The strength of the various natural environments created by the accumulation of this long cooling period is captured in the dial of the Heritage Divers. The mechanical divers’ modern design is inspired by “Glacier,” which plays a crucial role in maintaining the marine ecosystem, and the world of glaciers formed by the accumulation of a long cooling period is expressed through embossing and color on the dial. The 1968 Divers model evokes the “Antarctic Ice,” the land where 90% of the Earth’s ice exists, and the starting point for Seiko Divers’ challenges.
