Have you ever tried to photograph flowers or small objects up close, only to find that the focus won't lock? In such cases, use a "Close-up Lens". You can get closer to the subject than the minimum focusing distance of your lens and enjoy close-up photography. ■ Types and How to Choose Close-up Lenses Close-up lenses range from No.1 to No.10, with higher numbers allowing closer proximity to the subject and larger magnification. Refer to the chart below to select based on how close you want to get from the lens tip. If your lens's minimum focusing distance is 30cm or less, choose No.3 or higher. Close-up lenses can be stacked; combining "No.2" and "No.3" results in approximately "No.5".

*Note: "Shooting distance" in the diagram refers to the distance from the lens tip to the subject. *The "minimum focusing distance" of the interchangeable lens is the distance from the camera's image sensor to the subject.
