This forged peg is made by heating round steel material to about 1100°C until it is bright red and then crushing it into an oval shape with a powerful force of about 1 ton. By applying strong pressure to the heated steel, a peg with excellent strength is created. Standard round pegs tend to rotate in the ground, making them difficult to use, but oval pegs penetrate well even in hard ground mixed with gravel and stones, securing firmly without rotating underground. Additionally, the direction of the rope pull is designed with thicker material to ensure durability. The areas where the rope touches are trimmed to prevent cutting due to burrs, ensuring careful attention to detail. The coating has excellent rust resistance and withstands over 1,000 hours of salt spray testing. The total length of 184 mm is convenient for inner tents and leisure sheets.
