The Kenko Avantar ED Series Binoculars are a high-performance binocular series that incorporate special low-dispersion glass (ED lenses) into the optical system.
Thanks to the ED lens specifications, chromatic aberration is minimized, providing vivid and natural images, while reducing the number of lens elements contributes to a compact and lightweight design.
The heart of the binoculars, the Dach prism, features a special coating called 'Phase Coat' that corrects phase differences. This prevents halation and achieves high resolution and high contrast. Additionally, all lens and prism surfaces are multi-coated, and the auxiliary prisms are coated with ultra-high reflectivity dielectric multilayer films, pursuing excellent image quality.
The body is made of lightweight yet durable aluminum die-cast, making it easy to carry outdoors.
These binoculars are suitable for outdoor activities, stargazing, and many other scenes.

【High-contrast images with ED glass lenses】 Uses ED (extra-low dispersion) glass lenses that have less variation in refractive index across wavelengths from blue to red compared to regular optical glass. This reduces chromatic aberration, resulting in natural images as seen with the naked eye.
【Phase Coat & Dielectric Multilayer Films for Bright, Clear Images】 The Dach prism is coated with Phase Coat to correct phase differences, and the auxiliary prisms are coated with ultra-high reflectivity dielectric multilayer films, reducing light loss and producing bright, clear images. This also enhances resolution and contrast.
【Full Multi-Coating】 All lens and prism surfaces are coated with multi-layer films to achieve high transmittance.
【Twist-up Eyecups】 Features long eye relief of over 15mm, making it comfortable for extended viewing and suitable for glasses wearers, providing a wide field of view.
【Waterproof Design】 Waterproof construction ensures safety during sudden rain or water-side use. Nitrogen gas is filled inside the body to prevent lens fogging. It complies with JIS B7261 (ISO9022-8) at a water depth of 1 meter (10 minutes) and has an IPX7 rating (10 minutes).
