Overview:
The DJI RS 5 features a new tracking module that allows subject selection via a touchscreen, smooth balance adjustment with a fine-tuning knob, and direct operation from a new briefcase handle. It also supports fast charging and long operating times.
The DJI RS 5 is available with the following options:
- The DJI RS 5 includes a BG33 battery grip, RS 5 top and bottom quick-release plates, lens support, and quick-open tripod.
- The DJI RS 5 Combo includes the enhanced Smart Tracking Module and electronic briefcase handle, enabling advanced smart tracking and framing adjustments.
Notes:
1. Use of the enhanced Smart Tracking Module is required. It is included with the purchase of the compatible combo or can be purchased separately. Person tracking is limited to one subject. It is not recommended for scenes with multiple people, overlapping subjects, similar clothing, rapid movements, or complex costumes. Vehicle tracking is suitable for scenarios with less than 30% occlusion of a single vehicle and not for high-speed vehicles. Pet tracking is limited to one pet and not suitable for fast-moving or frequently changing direction pets. If the subject temporarily leaves the frame, automatic re-identification within 2 seconds is only available during person tracking. Data is measured under controlled conditions; actual performance may vary depending on environment, usage, and firmware version.
2. The briefcase handle is sold separately or can be purchased together with the compatible combo.
3. A 65W charger supporting PD protocol and the DJI RS BG33 battery grip are required. Faster charging and longer battery life are based on comparisons with the DJI RS 4 using the DJI RS BG21 battery grip. Data is measured under controlled conditions; actual usage may differ. 6. Measurement conditions: the gimbal was placed horizontally in an indoor environment at 25°C until the battery level reached 3% (powered solely by the battery).

8. Measured with a charger supporting 18W fast charging. Use a PD fast-charging protocol-compatible charger.
9. After switching between landscape and portrait modes, rebalancing of the tilt (front-back) and pan axes is unnecessary.
