Chili peppers are used to spice up such iconic dishes as chili con carne and the iconic Tabasco sauce. I encountered chili peppers everywhere in Asia: while trying Thai soups and curries, Korean kimchi salad, and Indonesian sambal. From Ethiopia, I brought back the popular "Berbere"—a spicy blend with crushed bell peppers. Did you know that... Latin America is famous for using the hottest spices? Even flaxseed oil is flavored and spiced up with chili peppers.
