Tomytec Railway Collection Tetsukore JR 1200 Series 2-Car Set Diorama Supplies 334712

The JR Shikoku 1200 series is a diesel railcar for general passenger use that began operation in 2006. Initially introduced as the 1000 series, modifications were made after 2006, including coupler replacements, to allow for coupled operation with the 1500 series, and the model designation was changed to the 1200 series. As of 2024, it is mainly used on the Kotoku Line, Tokushima Line, Mugi Line, and Naruto Line. It can be operated as a single unit or in multiple formations, and is capable of various operations including one-man and two-man operation. Modifications have also installed toilets in all cars, making it suitable for use on medium to long-distance routes.

By using a separately sold power unit and N-gauge running parts, it can be operated as an N-gauge model train. The TM-16 (20.5m class A) power unit and TT-04R running parts set are recommended.
