This product is the latest closed-back model of RP Technology headphones, which have been evolving for over 50 years since their inception and are adopted by professional music studios worldwide. It is a newly arranged closed-back version of the T60RPmk2, featuring a black walnut solid wood housing and the fourth-generation RP driver, a full-drive planar diaphragm developed and manufactured in-house by [Fostex]. Acoustic tuning that maximizes the characteristics of the closed-back design allows you to enjoy the dense sound unique to closed-back headphones, capturing only the original sound. *RP and RP Technology refer to [Fostex]'s proprietary technology for moving the entire surface of a planar diaphragm in a regular phase (patent application pending: JP2024-054367).

Experience the dense listening experience unique to closed-back headphones, with rich and solid depth in the low frequencies and clear, extended high frequencies. ・【Fourth-generation RP driver evolution】 The full-drive planar diaphragm driver of RP Technology, refined through 50 years of in-house technological improvements, has increased the amount of magnets sandwiching the diaphragm and redesigned the printed coil pattern in the fourth generation to expand and even out the vibration area of the diaphragm. Furthermore, the components of the magnetic circuit have been completely renewed to optimize the magnetic flux distribution, suppressing unnecessary resonance of the diaphragm and achieving sharp response in sound rise and fall. The fourth-generation driver, developed with the full introduction of various technologies accumulated over the years, simultaneously achieves improved sensitivity, a smooth frequency response that is easy to monitor, and excellent transient characteristics. This enables accurate and delicate reproduction from low to high frequencies, further improving accurate localization and soundstage reproduction. As before, consistent quality is provided through integrated manufacturing at our own factory. ・【Equipped with independently connected left and right Y-cable for easy recabling】 The housing on both the left and right sides is equipped with connectors, adopting a connection with a newly developed Y-cable. The use of a 2-pole 3.5 mm connector enhances recabling compatibility and versatility. The cable uses high-quality OFC conductors. A separately sold balanced cable, φ4.4: ET-RP4.4BL2Y, is available. ・【Comfortable ear pads】 The ear pads are around-ear type with low-rebound cushioning, designed for a comfortable fit, allowing for comfortable use even during extended listening sessions. Optional ear pads made with Toray Industries’ Ultrasuede (EX-EP-RP-SUEDE) are also available. They offer breathability, a soft feel, and smooth, high-quality sound from the low to high frequencies. ・【Caution】 The housing uses solid natural wood. Therefore, there are differences in wood grain, texture, color, and knots for each individual unit, but this does not affect the sound quality at all. We kindly ask for your understanding.
