The 18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD (Model B061) is a high-magnification zoom lens for Sony E-mount and Fujifilm X-mount cameras with APS-C size mirrorless interchangeable lenses. It achieves a world-first zoom ratio of 16.6x and a focal length of 18-300mm (equivalent to 27-450mm on a 35mm format). Its wide range, covering a super-telephoto 300mm, makes it ideal for a variety of scenes, including landscapes, snapshots, portraits, and capturing animals or sports with the unique reach of a super-telephoto lens. Plus, its compact design makes it easy to carry every day and on your travels. The minimum shooting distance is 0.15m at the wide-angle end, achieving a maximum magnification of 1:2, allowing you to capture images that emphasize the presence of your subject. The biggest feature of this lens is its world-first zoom ratio of 16.6x for APS-C size mirrorless compatible lenses. It covers a focal length of 18-300mm (equivalent to 27-450mm on a 35mm format). You can enjoy a variety of shooting expressions with this single lens, from super-telephoto shooting that takes advantage of the pull-in effect to wide-angle shooting that captures vast landscapes. It is also very compact, weighing approximately 620g, and features a filter diameter of φ67mm, which is common to many of our mirrorless lenses. This allows for easy handling in any situation.

The AF drive utilizes [Tamron]'s unique linear motor focus mechanism VXD. It combines top-level speed, accuracy, and responsiveness for a high-magnification zoom lens, allowing you to focus comfortably from the minimum shooting distance to infinity, even at a super-telephoto 300mm (equivalent to 450mm on a 35mm format). It also boasts excellent focus tracking, so you won't miss the decisive moment when shooting insects, animals, or vehicles. Model B061 boasts exceptional close-up shooting capabilities, unprecedented for a high-magnification zoom lens. At the wide-angle end of 18mm, it achieves a minimum shooting distance of 0.15m and a maximum magnification of 1:2. The working distance is an amazing 5mm, allowing you to get close to your subject while also incorporating the background for the unique photographic expression of wide-macro shots. ※When shooting at a minimum shooting distance of 0.15m (wide-angle end), the distance between the subject and the front of the lens is approximately 5mm. Please enjoy shooting without the subject touching the front element of the lens.

This lens is a high-resolution lens that pursues high image quality, even for a high-magnification zoom lens. It generously uses special optical glass such as four LD (Low Dispersion: abnormal low dispersion) lenses and three composite aspherical lenses to achieve beautiful rendering from the center to the periphery of the screen. It significantly reduces various aberrations, including chromatic aberration. Furthermore, the BBAR-G2 (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection Generation 2) coating suppresses ghosting and flare, which are prone to occur during backlit shooting. It achieves high image quality and soft bokeh throughout the zoom range.

This lens is equipped with [Tamron]'s unique Vibration Compensation (VC) image stabilization mechanism to suppress shake that tends to occur in the telephoto range. It performs effectively even in handheld shooting in low-illumination environments such as dimly lit rooms or night scenes, effectively reducing image degradation. Also, by utilizing AI (artificial intelligence) technology, it is possible to obtain correction effects that consider video shooting at focal lengths of 70mm or less.
