■XS Strings D'Addario's 'XS Series' introduces a new innovation in the category of coated strings. All wound strings feature an ultra-thin film coating, and the plain strings are treated with a proprietary polymer coating to protect the strings from dirt and deterioration. The latest coating technology combined with D'Addario's unique manufacturing techniques has resulted in the creation of unprecedented, innovative coated strings.

- Ultra-Thin Coating Utilizes an ultra-thin ePTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) film, less than one-tenth the thickness of hair, produced through advanced coating technology. This protects the wound strings from dirt and dust, ensuring long-lasting, fresh tone.

- NY Steel D'Addario's proprietary NY Steel (high-carbon steel alloy), also used in NYXL and XT series strings, offers exceptional strength and tuning stability compared to traditional strings.

- FUSION TWIST Fusion Twist processing prevents tuning shifts caused by string slackening. This results in excellent tuning stability and increased break resistance.

■ Differences Between 'XT' and 'XS' Series D'Addario's coated strings include the 'XT' and 'XS' series. XT strings feature a micro-polymer coating on the wound (winding) strings, providing a feel close to uncoated strings. The new 'XS' series uses a film of ePTFE, which is ten times thinner than hair, covering the entire string with a coating structure.
