Atlas GTA Super White Polymer Finish 25kg
ATLAS GTA Super White Polymer Finish allows you to quickly level the surfaces of walls and ceilings both manually and by machine.
High flexibility makes it resistant to various cracks, so it looks good for many years. It also works well for joining plasterboards with reinforcing tape. It is very easy to apply, and there are no problems with even application. Product Advantages and Features
Perfectly white, perfectly smooth - selected snow-white mineral fillers with optimal grain size enable a very smooth surface without corrections.
Optimal consistency for application and profiling - specially selected rheological parameters allow for easy application by trowel, roller, and unit.
Quick application by roller - exceptional consistency and extended open time allow for comfortable application by roller in a short time.
Durable and flexible - flexible polymer bonds ensure high adhesion and resistance to cracking of filled surfaces.
Safe "wet-on-wet" second coat application - shortens application time and minimizes the risk of blistering. "Wet" processing - allows for a smooth, dust-free surface, allowing for quick and clean renovation work.
For hand and machine sanding - the achieved hardness allows for easy surface processing, both manually and mechanically.
Substrate preparation
The substrate should be: load-bearing, seasoned to air-dry - it is assumed that the seasoning time for substrates is:
- 1 week per cm of thickness for new gypsum, cement and cement-lime plasters,
- 28 days for concrete walls and ceilings.
The above data apply to standard conditions (20 oC and 55% Rh). In other conditions, these times may change.
Preparation of the mass
The mass is ready to use for manual application. When applying by roller or mechanically, the mass may be diluted with clean water up to 2%. Stir the mass immediately before use. Use mixers that do not cause air entrainment.
Applying the plaster
Roller application: Apply the mass using a roller with a minimum 11 mm pile, spreading it evenly over the substrate. Smooth the applied layer with a stainless steel trowel.
Sanding
Sanding should be done after the surface has completely dried, manually or mechanically, using sandpaper or mesh. Grit #150-220 is recommended.
Consumption:
Applying plaster: on average, approximately 1.0 kg of mass is consumed per 1 m2 per layer, depending on the applied thickness and quality of the substrate.
Grouting plasterboards: on average, approximately 0.5 kg is consumed per 1 m of plasterboard joint (consumption depends on the thickness, shape and method of profiling the plasterboard edges).
