Pineapple Aluminum Mobile, Assorted Colours

A pineapple aluminium wall hanging brings a playful point of light and colour to a quiet wall. Beaten and hand painted metal gives the surface a lively, crafted feel, while beads and cotton tassels soften the outline with movement and texture.

Light, colour and gentle movement

The pineapple shape gives a bare wall an easy focal point, bright without feeling too formal.

Beaten aluminium catches the light in small irregular flashes rather than a flat shine.

Hand painted colour adds a folk-art feeling, with natural variation from piece to piece.

Beads bring a little weight and detail, so the mobile feels decorative from close up as well as across the room.

Cotton tassels add softness beneath the metal, making the whole piece feel relaxed and handmade.

Beaten aluminium, beads and cotton tassels

The mobile is made from aluminium with bead and cotton details. The metal is beaten and hand painted, so small differences in surface, colour and finish are part of its character rather than flaws.

Where to place it

Hang it where light can find the metal surface: beside a window, above a side table, in a hallway, or on a covered indoor wall that needs warmth. Keep it in a dry place and handle the beaded and tasselled details gently when moving or dusting.

Craft roots in Indonesia

This piece is made in Indonesia using a beaten and painted aluminium technique linked to the making of temple offering boxes. Here, that metalworking language becomes a decorative home mobile, shaped into a pineapple and finished with beads and tassels. The pineapple has long been used in decoration as a sign of welcome and hospitality, which makes the motif especially fitting near an entrance, dining space or shared room.
