What SPF Means: It indicates how long the skin can be protected from UVB rays that cause redness and stinging. SPF1 prevents sunburn (red, inflamed sunburn) for 20 minutes.
- SPF 10 → 200 minutes (3 hours 20 minutes) ... within sun exposure time
- SPF 20 → 400 minutes (6 hours 40 minutes) ... sun exposure time
- SPF 50 → 1,000 minutes (16 hours 40 minutes) ... far exceeds sun exposure time
What PA Means: It indicates how much UVA rays, which are said to promote skin aging, can be blocked.
PA+ → UV protection effect ... for daily UV exposure
PA++ → Significant UV protection effect ... for daily UV exposure and outdoor activities
PA+++ → Very high UV protection effect ... for long outdoor activities
PA++++ → Extremely high UV protection effect
Precautions for Use:
