Selenite Crystal Sphere 5-6 cm

Soft, moon-pale and quietly tactile, this selenite crystal sphere is made for slow looking and still corners. Its polished surface catches light in milky bands, turning from pearly white to clouded cream as you move it in your hand. Place it where you pause often, on a desk, shelf or bedside table, and let its gentle glow become part of the room.

What the stone reveals

The surface is smooth and glossy, with a pearly sheen rather than a glass-clear shine.

Soft internal banding gives the sphere a misted, lunar look, especially in bright natural light.

The rounded form invites turning in the hand, so the cloudy layers appear and fade as it moves.

As a display piece, it suits a quiet shelf, meditation space or bedside setting.

Natural variation is part of selenite’s character, so each sphere will show its own clouds, lines and tone.

Selenite from Morocco

Selenite is a form of gypsum, loved for its pale translucence and soft, pearly lustre. This piece comes from Morocco, a country closely associated with selenite and desert-mineral deposits. In crystal practice, selenite is traditionally linked with clarity, purity and the crown chakra, and is often chosen as a contemplative stone for intention-setting or quiet display.

Polished into a sphere

The sphere shape gives selenite a calm, complete presence. Unlike a wand or point, it has no directional edge, so the eye travels around it slowly. The finish is smooth and polished, allowing the stone’s cloudy layers to become the main detail rather than surface texture.

Where to place it

Keep it somewhere dry, stable and away from splashes. A side table, altar space, bookcase or dressing table gives it room to catch the light without being handled too often.

Selenite is very soft and fragile. Do not wash, soak or keep it in a bathroom, as water and humidity can dull the surface and damage the mineral over time. Dust it only with a dry, soft cloth or brush, and keep it away from harder crystals that could scr…
