[Story] Aichi Sendou is a slightly timid third-year middle school student who doesn't stand out in his class. He always lives a negative life, but there's one thing that gives him strength: a card he received as a child. That card inspired him to start playing cardfights, and his daily life began to change dramatically.

The name of the card game is "Vanguard." Fascinated by the excitement of Vanguard, Aichi meets many friends and rivals through cardfights.

But Aichi has one goal in mind: To once again battle a fighter named "Toshiki Kai."

To Aichi, Kai is the vanguard who saved him and led him to card games.

Today, Aichi continues to run at full speed to hone his Vanguard skills. He dreams of the moment when he will face his idol, Kai, and be recognized!
