[USED] Mompou Plays Mompou (5 CDs)

Out-of-print 5-CD set: Mompou Plays Mompou 1-5

A five-disc collection of Federico Mompou's piano works.

It's only recently that Mompou's name has begun to appear on the lips of pianists. Known as Spain's "poet of the piano," most of his compositions are written for the piano, and many of them are worthy of being called masterpieces. This album, recorded by Mompou himself in 1975 at the age of 82, is an incredibly rich and beautiful performance that sets aside the question of whether his own compositions are good or bad.
