Type: Distortion
It achieves a wide and high gain range of +26dB to +60dB, and at the same time achieves a high dynamic range that is hard to believe for a distortion pedal. The dynamic range, especially at low gain settings, is comparable to tube amps. Even with the GAIN set high, you can instantly respond to compressed clean arpeggios using the picking attack and guitar volume controls at hand. A humbucking pickup will give you a perfectly balanced, great distortion sound, and a single coil will give you plenty of low-mid distortion, typical of a single coil. Active pickups make it easy to control distortion. You can get the best distortion even when combined with various amplifiers. The combination with a British stack is especially special, but when combined with an American classic amp or a transistor clean amp, you can get a solid yet three-dimensional distortion that makes each particle of the tone vibrate.
