The Q4 DAC headphone amplifier is designed with RCA, PC-USB, optical, and coaxial inputs, and the 3.5mm headphone output is compatible with most home audio systems and headphones. (Note: Microphones are not supported.) The RCA output can be connected to a desktop amplifier or powered speakers. The built-in Hi-Fi headphone amplifier chip can drive headphones from 16 Ohm to 200 Ohm.
The Q4 Headphone USB DAC uses the Texas Instruments NE5532 high-performance op-amp chip, which combines excellent DC and AC characteristics. It features very low noise, high output drive capability, high unity amplification, maximum output swing bandwidth, low distortion, high slew rate, input protection diodes, and output short-circuit protection.
With 160mW RMS (32 Ω, 20 Hz - 20 KHz, 0.01% THD) and bass and treble controls, it can be used as a preamp or volume controller for PC/MAC/headphone/speaker systems. No additional software, apps, or drivers are required, making it a simple and easy-to-use digital audio adapter.
The ultra-compact D/A converter and full metal housing ensure high quality, stream bit-perfect 24bit/192KHz HD with low jitter, and feature output protection circuitry to ensure safety in expensive audio systems.
