This 3D action shooter game follows the story of the first Gundam film, "Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space." The 13th Independent Squadron launches from Jaburo into space, and you take on the role of Amuro, ace pilot of the White Base, as you traverse the vast expanse of space.

Using two game systems, the "Route Tube" and the "Battle Sphere," you can experience exhilarating, single-unit and large-scale space combat against Zeon mobile suits and mobile armors with high controllability. The Route Tube, a section where you are forced to scroll along a fixed route, focuses on large-scale battles. Encountering a rival mobile suit or mobile armor while traveling through the Route Tube, transforms into Battle Sphere Mode, where close-quarters combat unfolds in a 3D dome-like space.

There are two game modes. Experience the original story in "STORY Mode," which follows the story of "Encounters in Space" across eight stages. Including battles with units not featured in the film, this game's original content is not to be missed. Also featured are Dozle's Big Zam and Lieutenant Sleggar's suicide attack, as well as the tragic battle between Amuro's Gundam, Lalah's Elmeth, and Char's Gelgoog. Originally drawn animated movies are inserted at key points in the story, which is a nice touch. In "VS Mode," you can choose your favorite pilot, unit, battle location, and weapon to battle against the CPU or a friend. Form a squad of up to three units, and enter units on standby as support units or use them as stock units, adding to the strategic element. This limited-edition DVD-included first-run edition includes a digest DVD of the first Gundam.
