The most precious thing to humans...Earth. Our mother planet, the planet that gave birth to us and raised us. Yamato rises once again to protect this Earth.
17 years after the Space Battleship Yamato sank into the oceans of Aquarius, the year is 2220, and humanity faces an unprecedented crisis. A traveling black hole, a dark celestial body with a mass 300 times that of the sun and whose immense gravity swallows even light, is now approaching Earth from the far reaches of space.
The Earth Federation government organizes an immigration fleet to emigrate to Amarl, a star system in the Cyram region 27,000 light-years from Earth, but the first and second fleets are destroyed by a mysterious attack from a large fleet. Susumu Kodai boards the Space Battleship Yamato as the escort fleet commander for the third immigration fleet. With a young crew reminiscent of the Kodais who once fought against Garmillan under Captain Okita, the Yamato rises majestically from the frozen waters of Aquarius. However, far out in space, the SUS fleet of the Interstellar Alliance lies in wait, intent on thwarting Earth's human migration plan...
