Product Introduction
This is an SRPG in which you control a "Wisp" flying around the map, issue commands to knights, and attempt to recapture an ancient castle. This PSP port of the title of the same name, originally released for the DS in September 2008, features a beautiful opening animation, a "Tutorial Mission" that allows you to learn the game system while playing, and a "Talk Collection" that allows you to view dialogue from over 200 characters. The story also includes a hidden "Yggdra Chapter" scenario, in which Yggdra, a character from "Yggdra Union," appears as the heroine. This scenario can be accessed by launching "Knights in the Nightmare" with save data from the PSP version of "Yggdra Union."

An "active and tactical RPG" with a unique system and a dark worldview.
In "Knights in the Nightmare," players take on the role of wandering "Wisps" and breathe temporary life into knights whose souls have been stolen by demons, while fighting to recapture an ancient castle.
Using the analog pad, players control "Wisps" as they fly around the field, dodging enemy attacks in real time and issuing attack orders to allied units. This "active and tactical RPG" combines the suspense of action with the strategic appeal of simulation.
The story is designed so that it cannot be fully understood in one playthrough, allowing for repeated playthroughs.

New Features, Additions, and Improvements in the PSP Version
Controls have been changed from the DS version's stylus to analog pad controls while retaining the direct feel. Information previously split across two screens has been reorganized to take advantage of the PSP's wide screen for improved visibility. In addition, all quality, including graphics and sound, has been improved to PSP standards.
The "Talk Collection," a highly requested feature among DS players, and a "Hidden Scenario" featuring popular characters from Sting's other titles have been added.
The tutorial has been expanded to more clearly and thoroughly explain the unique control feel, ensuring both DS players and new players can enjoy the game from the beginning with ease.
The new opening animation added to the PSP version was created by Yukio Takatsu, who also worked on the openings for "Yggdra Union" (PSP version) and "Persona 3" (PS2). It impressively captures the dark world of the game, drawing you into its world.
