Product Introduction
Fine Molds 1/35 Military Series Imperial Japanese Army Type 89 Medium Tank Type B (Loaded) Plastic Model Kit FM62
The Type 89, Japan's first official tank, was initially equipped with a gasoline engine. However, for operation on continents where water was scarce, it was replaced with an air-cooled diesel engine, which eliminated the need for cooling water, improved fuel efficiency, and reduced the risk of fire due to fuel leaks.
The type equipped with this engine was called the Type B, while the previous gasoline-engine vehicles were called the Type A.
This kit meticulously recreates differences such as the fuel filler cap on the top of the hull, a distinctive feature of the Type B.
In addition, the luggage wrapped in a sheet placed on the tail section of the hull, often seen in photographs from the time, is modeled using plastic parts.
Recreate the striking appearance of the vehicle in a realistic setting.
The anti-aircraft machine gun can be displayed either mounted on the gun mount or stowed.
The tracks are belt-type tracks made of soft resin, and the muffler cover is photo-etched.
