This is a high-quality pillow made using Japanese domestic feathers, "Hokkaido Down." This pillow is neither too hard nor too soft, achieving the ideal ratio of feathers to provide firm support for the head while providing a soft embrace. Developed by our domestic bedding manufacturer, the Feather & Down Pillow is crafted with 100% cotton fabric, a natural fiber with excellent moisture absorption properties, in pursuit of a comfortable sleep. In particular, the outer layer is made of "200-count finely spun, twisted cotton yarn," a very fine, soft, yet durable cotton fabric. [About Hokkaido Down] The feathers we use are harvested from domestic ducks raised in the harsh cold of Hokkaido, and our manufacturing factory, Fuji Shinko Co., Ltd., contracts directly with farms in Hokkaido to source them. The feathers are refined using water from the Mount Fuji region, and all processes, including washing, drying, and sorting, are carried out consistently at our own factory in Yamanashi, ensuring high-purity refinement and traceability. [Quality Cotton Fabric] We use high-quality cotton fabric worthy of pure Japanese down. Made from high-quality, long, thin cotton fibers, the 200-count combed and twisted cotton yarn is spun and twisted simultaneously from two rovings, resulting in a softer, more supple, and extremely durable fabric. This 100% cotton fabric is used for the outer cover of pillows, designed to maximize their functionality. It feels incredibly soft against the skin and maintains its quality even after years of use. [Feathers tailored for pillows] Pillows play an important role, supporting approximately 10% of your body weight. Therefore, the feather ratio and filling volume of this pillow have been adjusted to provide firm support for your head while allowing you to sink in softly. The feathers, which are slightly firmer to achieve a balance of breathability and texture, provide a comfortable feel. The outer fabric is also double-layered to prevent feathers from blowing out, allowing for peace of mind. The feathers are also slightly firmer than those in GooGu's upcycled down pillows.
