2. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Description This is a black original brand apron sold (mail order) as a standard by a long-established manufacturer founded in 1940. [Black apron (formal apron)] is the most popular item in sales. It is especially used by many people to help with wakes and funerals. (Depending on the region, it may be a white apron or white kappogi.) The fabric is 100% polyester made in Japan. Many people may have the impression that ``100% polyester = cheap'', but we use high-quality black chirimen fabric from Hokuriku (Oni Chirimen). The surface is characterized by wrinkles, giving it a high-quality feel. There are very few apron manufacturers in Japan that use this class of fabric. (It's expensive, so...) Since it's 100% polyester, you don't have to worry about wrinkles, so it's convenient to carry around to help with wakes and funerals. In recent years, sewing in Japan has become very difficult, but we work with master craftsmen from domestic sewing workshops with whom we have had business for many years. The design is simple and understated with only simple lace on the chest and pockets. *As of November 10, 2014, the waist strap has been changed to straight.
