2. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Silverstein ALTA AMBIPOLY REEDS "AMBIPOLYMER" is proposed by Silverstein as a new material to replace high-quality cane. We focused on the fact that cane absorbs small amounts of moisture, which changes the playing feel and sound.As a result, we created a reed using a completely new resin material that absorbs moisture in the same way as cane, and can be adjusted by trimming with a reed trimmer or file. "AMBI" means "both" in Latin. It is truly a next-generation reed that has a sound similar to a cane, but also has the long life and uniformity of a resin reed. *We do not offer exchanges like ALTA Select REEDS. Thank you for your understanding. There are two types of lineup for saxophone (soprano/alto/tenor/baritone): "CLASSIC" and "JAZZ". [CLASSIC type] 2+~3.5+ The "CLASSIC type" is a reed for typical classical music guided by French tradition, and uses an ambipolymer material called "A1 CANE" like the one for B♭ clarinet. It combines flexibility and powerful tone, and features a high range with excellent controllability. It has a calmer, rounder sound than the "JAZZ type". [JAZZ type] 2~3.5 Features a smaller vamp, softer tip and vamp front than the "CLASSIC type", and is suitable for jazz players who tend to use mouthpieces with a wide opening. You can get the free playing feel necessary for creative modern jazz performances. The material used for the JAZZ type is "A40 CANE", which produces a clear and focused sound while maintaining flexibility.
