Senshu towels are made using a unique post-bleaching process, where the towels are washed and dyed after weaving, ensuring a soft feel and excellent absorbency right from the start. Because we want families to use these towels every day, we didn't just make them thick, we designed them with a balanced volume that also allows for easy drying and ease of use at home. [Outstanding Absorbency] In a towel test conducted by the Japan Towel Inspection Association, a towel was dropped into water and measured to see how quickly it sank. It sank in about one second, far exceeding the certification standard of less than five seconds for Imabari towels. This towel boasts outstanding absorbency. [A soft, enveloping feel] The volume is designed for everyday use. The thick yarn used creates a long pile that feels soft and enveloping. *The towels are compressed and thin when delivered in their packaging. After washing, the pile will stand up nicely and fluffy, and the volume will increase to about twice its original size.
