"Digimon Pendulum," a popular LCD toy featuring a built-in pendulum (pendulum), released in October 1998 as the successor to the original "Digital Monster" series, celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2023 with the "Digimon Pendulum COLOR" series, which has been updated with a color LCD display. The sequels, "Digimon Pendulum COLOR 4 WIND GUARDIANS," "Digimon Pendulum COLOR 5 METAL EMPIRE," and "Digimon Pendulum COLOR ZERO Virus Bs," are available in three colors: the original green bronze from "Digimon Pendulum 4.0," the original black red from "Digimon Pendulum 5.0," and the original pearl white gold from "Digimon Pendulum ZERO." This marks the first time the WIND GUARDIANS and METAL EMPIRE colors have been reissued. Like the previously released "Digimon Pendulum COLOR 1," "Digimon Pendulum COLOR 2," and "Digimon Pendulum COLOR 3," the new Digimon Pendulum COLOR is based on the original design released in 1998. It features a built-in color LCD screen and a rechargeable battery without compromising size. The new Digimon Pendulum COLOR continues to feature a color LCD screen. Not only are the characters now in color, but background designs, previously unavailable, can now be customized. New background images can be obtained through communication with other versions, including the previously released "Digivice COLOR" and "Digimon Pendulum COLOR" series. Furthermore, communication battles with the "Digivice -25th COLOR EVOLUTION-" series are also possible. Note: Background images cannot be obtained by communicating with the "Digivice -25th COLOR EVOLUTION-" series. The built-in rechargeable battery can be charged with the included charging cable. The charging cable is USB Type-C compatible. Note: A USB port on a computer or other device is required for charging. The Digimon featured in each version have been reorganized based on the original lineup. Digimon Pendulum COLOR 4 WIND GUARDIANS includes a total of 32 Digimon, including V-dramon and Lilimon. Digimon Pendulum COLOR 5 METAL EMPIRE includes a total of 32 Digimon, including MetalGreymon (Vaccine species) and Cyberdramon. Digimon Pendulum COLOR ZERO Virus Bs includes a total of 33 Digimon, including HolyAngemon and WarGreymon. Each version also includes Digimon from the original versions 4.5 and 5.5, plus additional Digimon. Additionally, evolution routes are unlocked by communicating with a different version of Digimon Pendulum COLOR. The Digimon Pendulum also features the Jogress function. By combining specific Digimon, you can evolve into completely new Digimon, as well as Digimon that could not evolve into Digimon that were previously available in the original versions. There are also Digimon that can evolve through jogress within each version of Digimon Pendulum COLOR or through specific combinations with different versions. *Digimon that evolve through jogress with different versions appear in each version in the following combinations: ・Digimon Pendulum COLOR 2 & Digimon Pendulum COLOR 4 ・Digimon Pendulum COLOR 3 & Digimon Pendulum COLOR ZERO ・Digimon Pendulum COLOR 5 & Digimon Pendulum COLOR ZERO *Digimon Pendulum COLOR 4 contains one Digimon that can only evolve through a jogress with the already released Digimon Pendulum COLOR 2. *Digimon Pendulum COLOR ZERO contains one Digimon that can only evolve through a jogress with the already released Digimon Pendulum COLOR 3. The training and battle effects recreate the nostalgic feel of the original, while the pendulum function utilizes an accelerometer. The number of times you shake the device affects your training results and battle power, allowing you to enjoy the pendulum just like the original. It also features a single-player battle mode without needing to connect to a computer. This product also offers enhanced user support features, speeding up training compared to the 1998 version. It also features a Cold Mode, which stops growth while cold and prevents stomach and muscle loss, and a backup system that allows you to save up to one Digimon you are training as a backup. Digimon saved in the backup system can also be used as Jogress partners when you are away from a communication partner. All packaging designs are reproduced for the first time, recreating the original design with the addition of foil stamping. The sticker on the LCD display on the blister pack has also been updated from the monochrome of the original to color.
