The DAC-M6J is an integrated DAC with headphone amplifier and digital preamp functionality, supporting three digital inputs. Its heart is the ESS Technology ES9018K2M, a highly acclaimed high-performance DAC IC!

The headphone amplifier uses the Maxim Integrated MAX9722A, a high-performance headphone amplifier IC.

It delivers the power to drive high-impedance headphones despite its low voltage operation, while delivering modern, high-speed, and crisp sound quality.

In addition, the digital volume, a basic function of a digital preamp, is free from gang error (volume discrepancies between left and right) and crosstalk, which are unavoidable with analog volume controls.

This further enhances the outstanding positioning of the dual mono configuration of the FX-1001J and FX-501J.

Note: Because this product is a DAC with a preamp function, unlike typical DACs, the RCA output is linked to the volume.
