This is a Crown Hybrid patrol vehicle, which is being deployed nationwide. Unlike the gasoline-powered version of the same model, all hybrids are 4WD. Externally, it differs from the gasoline-powered version by adopting larger 17-inch wheels and a blue-tinted crown logo on the front grille and Toyota logo on the rear. Until the previous Crown model, the Rising Sun emblem was placed in place of the crown logo on the grille. However, this model, equipped with an automatic braking radar, retains the crown logo and instead features the Rising Sun emblem on the hood.
