Specifications: 100% cotton, bleached fabric, made in Japan, approximately 34x88cm (length varies from 90-88cm).
[Characteristics of Chū-sen dyeing] Chū-sen dyeing, a traditional Japanese culture, is the culmination of artisanal techniques. Due to factors such as the climate and humidity at the time of production, uneven coloring or differences in color from the image may occur, but this is also part of the individuality of the product. This will be a one-of-a-kind tenugui, just for you. This is not a defective product, so please only purchase if you understand this.
[About dyeing] As this is a traditional dyeing method by artisans, there may be uneven coloring or differences in color from the image due to the climate and humidity at the time of production. Also, the color may fade after the first few washes.
[Precautions/Washing] As this is a dyed product, avoid using detergents containing bleach, and wash by hand alone as the color may fade the first few times (washing in a washing machine makes threads more likely to come off).
These tenugui towels are dyed using the traditional Japanese "Chūsen" dyeing technique, a traditional dyeing technique used by artisans. Delivered nationwide from Hamamatsu City, a city famous for its "Chūsen" dyeing technique. Enjoy pop, modern, and colorful designs. Tenugui towels are intentionally left unfinished, so although they may fray at first, they are hygienic and quick-drying, making them a popular alternative to towels. Recently, they have also become popular for wrapping, gift-giving, making small items, and framing them to decorate interiors.
