The original mounting system allows you to change the tip to your preferred 5mm tip, and the innovative skeleton grip design also helps protect the tip during storage. To use, simply remove the tip from the grip and attach it upside down.

The included tip is a highly sensitive flat glass solid, and is available in two actions: SSS action and S action.

The reel has a shallow spool that requires no backing, and comes with approximately 50m of Japanese-made nylon line No. 1, so no reeling is required. It comes with a counter that can measure in 10cm increments and a switch lever for free/stop. It also comes standard with a "shelf stop hook" that lets you lower your rig directly to the desired shelf. This smelt fishing set is suitable for any situation, from ice fishing to dome boat fishing.
