Product Introduction

Early in the war, the Japanese military captured a variety of Allied aircraft in the South and brought them back to Japan. One of these, the Buffalo fighter, was captured by the Japanese Army and inspected in Bandung, Java. It was later transported to mainland Japan and given to various army flight schools. This Tamiya kit recreates the captured Buffalo. Markings include two aircraft depicting captured aircraft from the Southern Army, as well as new decals for the Akeno and Utsunomiya Army Flight Schools. The set also includes two Japanese Army maintenance crew figures, a drum, a stepladder, and other parts perfect for creating scenic scenes, as well as a precision plastic seatbelt from the Nano Aviation series. This is a plastic model kit that requires assembly and painting. Additional adhesives, tools, and paints are required for assembly and painting.
