Electro-Harmonix ABOUT Electro-Harmonix Electro-Harmonix was founded by Mike Matthews in October 1968. Their first product was a fuzz pedal called the "Axis Fuzztone." Later, they collaborated with Bob Meyer, a former Nobel Prize-winning engineer at Bell Labs, to create the original linear power booster, the "LPB-1." Despite being available only through mail order, this model became a huge hit, helping to establish the Electro-Harmonix brand. Its ATTACK switch allows you to select between three attack settings, providing excellent compression for guitar and bass, regardless of your playing style. With its wide range of control, this unit offers a wide range of compression effects, so why not give it a try? Two-knob, one-switch sound control: Despite its compact size, it features a three-level attack switch. ■ SUSUTAIN: Adjusts the amount of effect (compression strength). ■ VOL: Controls the output level. Use it to compensate for level reductions caused by compression or to boost the sound. ■ATTACK: Switches the compression character (attack and decay). ●fast: The entire signal is compressed, the compressor responds quickly, and distortion is slightly increased. This setting is suitable for increasing the SUSTAIN control for stronger compression. ●med: The compressor does not activate the initial sound when the string is picked, allowing it to pass through, resulting in a clear, bright attack. This setting has a sense of groove and is the most common setting. ●slow: The edge passes through completely, then becomes compressed. This setting is suitable for rhythm playing, such as funk chords. Set SUSTAIN to around 12 o'clock.
