Hasami ware
This is a type of ceramic produced near Hasami Town in the north-central part of Nagasaki Prefecture. With a history spanning over 400 years, it was long sold as "Arita ware," but until recently, its name was rarely seen in public. Its distinctive features are the beauty of its white porcelain and the delicate blue-and-white porcelain technique, which has been continuously refined to suit the times, producing tableware for the common people.
