Frequently asked questions
Q. Why is the resolution fixed at 720p?
A. PS1 and PS2 games output at 240p or 480i, which are not compatible with the HDMI standard.
The signal is upscaled to 720p to ensure compatibility with HDMI devices.
Q. What is an RGB signal?
A. The RGB signal is a method of enhancing the color and clarity of images. Compatible with PS1 and PS2 games, it delivers significantly higher image quality than AV cables.
Q. Can I display in 16:9?
A. Yes. The default is classic 4:3, but you can change your TV settings to 16:9.
Connection Method (3 Easy Steps)
1) PS2 Console Settings
Start your PS2 and change the output method to "RGB" under "Settings" > "Video Output Settings."
Note: If the default setting is "Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr," video will not be output.
2) Cable Connection
Connect the AV terminal of the POUND cable to the PS2 console.
Connect the HDMI terminal to the TV's HDMI port.
Connect the USB cable to the front of the PS2 or the TV's USB port for power.
3) TV Settings
Switch to HDMI input.
Set the screen ratio to "4:3" (the game screen will display correctly).
Notes/Troubleshooting
If no video is displayed, double-check the PS2's "Video Output Settings."
Some TVs do not support "Sync on Green" RGB signals, which may prevent video from being displayed.
If there is no audio, the USB power supply may be unstable. Try using a different port or power adapter. If the display appears landscape, set the screen ratio on your TV to 4:3.

This HDMI conversion cable is compatible with the original PlayStation (PS1/PSX) as well as the PlayStation 2. By directly converting RGB signals to digital, you can enjoy classic games beautifully on a modern TV.
Supports RGB output, delivering crisper contours and richer colors than standard AV connections. In-game text and fine textures are displayed in high definition, and you can enjoy well-balanced images with minimal crushed shadows or blown-out highlights.
Older resolutions such as 240p/480i output by PS2 and PS1 are automatically converted to 720p, which conforms to the HDMI standard. This function ensures stable display even of low-resolution signals that are incompatible with modern TVs and monitors.
Older PS2 consoles may not be able to provide sufficient power from the video output port, but this cable can supply external power using the included Micro USB. This prevents problems such as poor image quality and poor connection, and maintains stable video output.
