Each and every nail file from Yoshida File Manufacturing is handcrafted by a skilled artisan. It features a three-stage file design, with three straight lines intersecting to form numerous points, ensuring a smooth file. Made entirely from stainless steel, it is rust-resistant and hygienic to use. Furthermore, the file edges will not wear out, allowing for semi-permanent use. As a traditional Japanese product, it is carefully crafted, offering a quality not found in cheaper products.
[Different teeth on both sides] &minte's specially made type features different numbers of teeth on both sides, with coarse (300 blades x 3 = 900 blades) and fine (300 blades). The fine teeth allow for more precise adjustments. Available in long and short lengths. The long type is the same size as the regular series, allowing for longer strokes in one go. The short type is recommended for those with small nails or those who want to carry it around with them. Only available in matte silver.
[Double-sided file] This is a classic Yoshida file from the regular series, featuring 900 blades on both sides. Being double-sided makes it a popular series with versatile use. The original 900 blades offer a balanced file feel, offering both ease of use and precision. Available in matte black and matte silver. The tip is also available in pointed and rounded tip types. The pointed tip is Yoshida file's most popular, classic type, and can be used to treat light ingrown nails and cuticles. The rounded tip is a safety-conscious design created in response to requests from parents with small children and the elderly, and is recommended for those who do not need to treat ingrown nails or who are concerned about sharp tips.
Product Precautions: *Washable and hygienic *If it gets wet, dry it thoroughly or wipe it off.
~ Recommended polishing method ~ 1. Place the nail file at an angle of about 45 degrees against the nail. 2. File in one direction as much as possible. *If you use too much force, you may file the nail too much, so file smoothly without using too much pressure. For a good finish, file the nail little by little from the backside. *The above is the recommended polishing method, but please polish in a way that suits you. *Ideally, it is better to care for your nails when they have grown a little longer, rather than waiting until they have fully grown out. If they are too long, it may be better to lightly trim them with nail clippers first.

~Traditional Manufacturing Method~ We pride ourselves on our three-stage file sharpening process, a testament to our skilled craftsmanship. Nail files are made from thin stainless steel plates, approximately 1 mm thick. Each nail file blade is sharpened by hammering a steel blade called a "chigae" into the plate. This sharpening process is called "chigae." At Yoshida File Factory, each file is hand-sharpened using a sharpening machine. Craftsmen sharpen the chisel, adjust the strength of the sharpening machine, and hammer the file blades evenly into the stainless steel plate. Sharpening is performed three times (three stages) on the stainless steel plate, diagonally left and right, and horizontally. This process is repeated six times on both sides, for a total of six times. The chisel wears down each time it is sharpened, so it must be re-sharpened and adjusted each time. If the chisel is not sharpened horizontally or if the strength of the sharpening machine is not balanced, the resulting file will not be evenly sharpened. The craftsman works on each nail one by one, relying on his eyes, ears, the vibration of the sharpening machine, and the feel of the file marks. When these three levels intersect, a point is created that firmly catches the fine fibers of the nail. The nail does not escape but follows the surface of the file, allowing the nail to be filed smoothly without putting strain on it. The file marks are driven in at equal intervals and to the same depth,
This is the pinnacle of skill that only a skilled craftsman can achieve. It looks beautiful and is extremely comfortable to use.
