Featuring open-type tuners (tuners), the headstock is lightweight while maintaining precise tuning. LANIKAI ukuleles feature a "hidden scarf joint" construction, in which the wood joint extends to the headstock and the neck is finished in one piece all the way to the nut, improving sound without sacrificing sustain. Wide binding on the side of the fingerboard allows for stress-free position changes, ensuring high playability even for an entry-level model. The "8-hole quick-tie bridge" provides firm tension on the saddle for easy string changes. Strap buttons are included as standard.

The "LU Series" offers affordable yet meticulous design, and is available in two models: soprano and concert.
