Woody Joe 1/50 Golden Hind Wooden Model Assembly Kit
The Golden Hind was built in England in 1577.
As the Spanish-style paintwork on the stern suggests, its name means "Golden Hind." The ship's purpose was privateering, plundering Spanish colonies, attacking treasure ships, and disrupting trade routes.
Captain Sir Francis Drake, who circumnavigated the globe during his eventful voyage and continued his plundering activities, returned to England and was knighted by the Queen.
The kit features a full-scale keel-frame hull with mahogany exterior and teak deck.
