■Base Oil Concept - Type 2189E (75W140) is a 100% synthetic oil with an ester blend that offers excellent low-temperature properties. To achieve a kinematic viscosity comparable to that of 190 while also achieving the W grade (75W), we chose a 100% synthetic oil with excellent low-temperature properties. Simply making the viscosity comparable to 190 (i.e., high viscosity) would increase agitation resistance, leading to higher oil temperatures. However, without high viscosity, the oil film cannot be maintained at high temperatures. - The base oil concept for Type 2189E (75W140) is to achieve both high viscosity and reduced agitation resistance. *Difference from 250: Generally, 250 oil is made more viscous with additives, so once it reaches high temperatures (above 150°C), its viscosity decreases. If it is reused after cooling, its kinematic viscosity will drop to that of 140. For this reason, NISMO/MOTUL did not choose 250. ■Excellent μ Characteristics - Minimal change in friction characteristics with temperature prevents significant changes in LSD operating characteristics, ensuring a natural driving feel even during sporty driving.

At the same time, the plate's anti-judder performance is excellent. - The "stabilization of LSD characteristics" was also demonstrated in Nissan's development tests for the NISSAN GT-R (R35) at the Nürburgring Circuit, and Nissan reported that "chattering of the LSD itself was reduced" during general driving.
