This portable navigation system features Android tablet functionality, allowing you to use apps and video services, and a 10.1-inch wide HD (1280 x 800) LCD screen that supports full-segment TV viewing.
[Navigation] The device comes pre-installed with an offline navigation app that can be used on the device alone. The navigation app uses the 2025 Zenrin National Detailed City Map, which covers 100% of urban areas nationwide. Based on data from October 2024, it includes information on major road openings through the end of March 2025. At guidance points, voice guidance is provided not only on the timing and direction of turns, but also the names of intersections and roads after turning. Guidance points are clearly displayed with illustrations that recreate actual scenery and directional signs, as well as enlarged intersection views. Additionally, voice and icon alerts are provided at accident-prone areas, stop signs, railroad crossings, tunnels, and other locations to support driving.
[Android Tablet Function] The tablet features Android tablet functionality, allowing you to download and enjoy approximately 2 million apps and games from the Google Play Store. It's GMS (Google Mobile Service) certified, so you can use it with peace of mind. You can also use video streaming services such as YouTube, Netflix, and U-NEXT. It supports Widevine L1, the highest level of digital copyright protection, enabling high-definition (HD) playback on compatible services.
[Full-Seg TV & AV Functions] The car's built-in terrestrial digital tuner allows for stable viewing even while driving. It automatically switches between full-seg and one-seg depending on reception conditions and also supports a relay station search function. You can also simultaneously display the navigation system and TV on a split screen, allowing you to choose the display that best suits your needs. You can play music and videos stored on a microSD card or USB flash drive. An optional AV cable allows you to connect external devices with AV outputs, such as DVD players. The AV function also supports split screen display with the navigation system.
[Durability testing and positioning system designed for use in vehicles] Operation in high and low temperatures is confirmed, assuming use in hot summers and cold regions. Vibration testing is also conducted to simulate shaking during driving, ensuring the durability required for in-vehicle use. The positioning system is compatible with Japan's QZSS (Michibiki), the US's GPS, and Russia's GLONASS, providing stable positioning even in built-up urban areas and mountainous regions.
[Installation] Everything you need for installation, including the stand and cigarette lighter cord, is included, so you can set it up right away without any tools. The included 3-axis suction stand has three movable axes that allow you to freely adjust the mounting position and angle, ensuring unobstructed visibility and operation while driving. By removing part of the arm for a 2-axis configuration or combining it with the included short arm, you can install it in four different ways to suit your vehicle's installation location. The suction stand base has slits, so it can be attached to curved and textured surfaces.
[Power Supply/Quick Start] Compatible with 12V and 24V power sources, it can be used in a wide range of vehicles. Using the optional USB power cable, you can power the device via the USB port. By connecting the optional constant power connection cable to your vehicle's constant power source, the device will enter sleep mode and start up quickly when the engine starts, enabling quick start.
[Bluetooth Output / AUX Output / External Device Connection] You can output audio to your car's audio system via Bluetooth or AUX output. You can connect to a commercially available backup camera using the optional backup camera cable, and to external devices such as DVD players with AV output using the optional AV cable.
[HD Backup Camera and Various Options] The optional HD backup camera is a high-performance camera with HD image quality, HDR compatibility, and a wide viewing angle, and also supports a real-time rear view function that allows split display with the navigation system. Various options are available, including a dedicated kit for installation in a 1DIN space, a film antenna with a digital terrestrial broadcast booster to stabilize TV reception, and an optional map update SD card.
[Notes on Use] To use video streaming services or the Google Play Store, you will need to connect to the Internet using your smartphone's Wi-Fi tethering function or a mobile router. You may need a Google account or other account to use various services. If the video streaming service restricts playback devices, playback may be at a Widevine L3 level. Bluetooth only supports audio output and is not compatible with devices running version 2.x or 3.x. Power consumption in standby mode when connected to a constant power source is 0.84Wh (0.07A) with a 12V connection and 1.87Wh (0.078A) with a 24V connection. The constant power connection cable is equipped with a protection function that automatically turns off when the voltage drops below a certain level. It automatically turns off when the voltage drops below 12V to 12.2V with a 12V connection and below 24V to 24.4V with a 24V connection. For instructions on how to connect the constant power connection cable, please watch the instruction video on the RoadQuest official website.
