Aoshima Bunka Kyozai 1/700 Waterline Series No. 549 Japanese Navy Midget Submarine Tender Chiyoda Plastic Model Aoshima's Waterline series has been revamped with even greater precision! Newly designed equipment parts, including main guns, machine guns, and shipboard boats, have been carefully considered. The mold incorporates numerous sliding mechanisms to accurately reproduce the intricate details of the 1/700 scale. The Waterline series is now reborn with even greater precision. Like its sister ship, the Chitose, the Chiyoda was originally built as a seaplane tender and subsequently converted into a midget submarine tender and aircraft carrier. This 1/700-scale plastic model kit depicts the Chiyoda as a fully operational midget submarine tender, carrying 12 "Ko-hyoteki" (small "Kou-hyoteki") submarines. The limited-edition parts allow for simple, easy assembly and accurate reproduction. Newly designed equipment, including anti-aircraft guns and machine guns, has been added. This model perfectly captures the precision and intricacy of 1/700 scale. Using a slide mold, precise and accurate molding is achieved! Various outfitting has been updated, focusing on parts such as anti-aircraft guns and machine guns! New outfitting parts made with new molds: Type 89 12.7cm twin anti-aircraft gun; Type 96 25mm twin machine gun; 9m cutter; 11m motorboat; 12m motorboat launch; Kure Type 2 Model 5 launcher.
