[Description]
This is the DEFT wireless trackball, an index finger-operated trackball boasting unparalleled control.
It features eight buttons: left and right, forward and backward, a tilt wheel, and three assignable buttons.
The trackball is equipped with a gaming-grade, high-performance optical sensor that detects movement. A new, high-performance lens and optimized peripheral optical design deliver exceptional pointer tracking performance.
The use of a large, 2.5mm-diameter artificial ruby ball improves the feel of the ball. The larger ball diameter also reduces the likelihood of the ball becoming embedded in grime and other debris, reducing maintenance frequency.
Focusing on the six bones and muscles of the hand that come into contact with the mouse during operation, the design takes into account the contours and bulges of the surface, achieving a new, comfortable feel that mirrors the shape of your palm.
The left and right buttons use OMRON switches, which boast a durability of 10 million clicks and are renowned for their click feel.
The mouse is equipped with "forward" and "back" buttons, improving the efficiency of web page browsing. The size and shape of the buttons have been carefully designed to make them easier to access.
The mouse is equipped with a tilt wheel that allows you to scroll left and right simply by tilting the wheel. This is convenient for navigating long screens such as Excel.
The mouse features a speed change switch that allows you to select the pointer movement speed between two settings: 1500 and 750 counts.
Button function assignments can be changed using the free downloadable "ELECOM Mouse Assistant."
The ball can be easily removed through a hole on the back, facilitating maintenance of the ball and the internal ball holder.
The 2.4GHz wireless band provides a range of approximately 10m on non-magnetic surfaces and approximately 3m on magnetic surfaces such as steel desks (according to our research).
The mouse features a coin-sized micro receiver that can be left attached and carried around without being noticed when connected to a laptop's USB port.
The receiver can be stored inside the mouse, making it convenient to carry and reducing the risk of losing it.
The power switch on the back of the mouse prevents battery drain when not in use.
A battery level indicator light lets you know when it's time to replace the battery.
This model comes in simple packaging for easy unpacking.
Replacement balls are available. Compatible models are model number M-B1RD.
