2018 Iwakuni Friendship Day Special Markings Now Available! On January 18, 2017, the U.S. Marine Corps deployed the F-35B stealth fighter to Iwakuni Air Base in Yamaguchi Prefecture. This aircraft made headlines as the first deployed in Japan and the first deployed outside the United States, making it the first aircraft deployed outside the United States.

This product recreates the "B" model, capable of vertical takeoff, that was actually deployed. It features a snap-fit assembly that requires no adhesive. The engine parts are reproduced in gunmetal. Two nozzles are included: one pointing 90 degrees downward and one at a standard angle. You can choose between a landing position or a retracted landing gear position. The weapon bay can also be displayed either open or closed. The product includes a decal featuring the special markings flown at Iwakuni Friendship Day in 2018.

This product requires assembly and painting. Separate adhesives and tools are required for assembly and painting.
