This book introduces many masterpieces from traditional to avant-garde artists, along with profiles of the artists. It also includes extensive commentary by art museum curators and researchers from around the country, and uses a wealth of material to document the foundations of modern ceramics. It is a large book with plenty of photographs. The commentary is also well-read.

It has been stored in its original box, so the interior is in excellent condition with almost no stains or discoloration. This is number 802 of a limited edition of 870. There is some peeling of the paper slightly above and to the left of the last page, which bears the limited edition number (Photo 13).
