This full-metal model from the analog "2100" series, developed in accordance with the concept of the original G-SHOCK model, the "DW-5000C," features a stainless steel screw-back case, bezel, and band, providing shock resistance to protect the module from impacts from drops, while pursuing a simple, streamlined design. The octagonal bezel and dimpled band design, also featured on the DW-5000C, released in 1983, are inherited. The GM-B2100AD-5A features a gorgeous copper-colored vapor-deposited dial, while the GM-B2100SD-1A features a black dial with silver indexes and hour and minute hands for enhanced legibility. High-density mounting technology allows for a slim, highly functional module, achieving a slim profile. Comfort is also a key consideration. The stainless steel bezel is crafted into a three-dimensional shape through painstaking forging, cutting, and polishing processes, with a beautiful finish on the top surface with a hairline rim and a mirror-polished bevel. A fine resin buffer between the bezel and case ensures the metal exterior's shock resistance. The dial is delicately crafted using Casio's Yamagata factory's micro-machining technology and vapor-deposited for a high-quality finish. The thin, highly functional digital/analog combination module connects to a dedicated app via Bluetooth® communication to obtain time information and keep accurate time. It also comes with practical features such as Tough Solar and a high-brightness double LED light.
