This is a truly "Made in OSAKA" dyed tenugui towel, made with a dyeing technique that originated in Osaka and based on the motif of Tenma Kiriko, a traditional craft born in Osaka. The brilliance and beauty of Tenma Kiriko cutting are expressed through chusen dyeing. Chusen dyeing involves many steps, all done by hand by artisans, so no two pieces are exactly alike. The greatest appeal of chusen dyeing is the delicate, gentle shading and bleeding that can only be achieved by artisans working by hand. The bleached cloth used is 100% cotton. Woven in Japan, it has a tight weave with little distortion. Compared to other dyes, it is a Japanese bleached cloth that is carefully removed over time to remove impurities, so the dyed product is beautiful, and it has a smooth texture that feels good against the skin, making it suitable for use in high-quality yukata. *The detailed photo is for illustrative purposes only.
